On May 15th Tichenor 8th graders proudly showcased their Defense of Learning presentations centered around our Portrait of a Learner! 🎓💙

From critical thinking to effective communication, our students demonstrated the skills and mindset needed to lead tomorrow. We are proud of their hard work, growth, and dedication!

🎉 KSA Testing is officially complete at Tichenor Middle School! 🎉 We are so proud of the incredible effort, focus, and determination our students showed throughout the testing window. Our Trojans worked hard each day, gave their best effort, and represented TMS with pride! 💙💛 Yesterday marked our FINAL Good Faith Effort Drawing, and we are so thankful for the amazing community support that helped make these incentives possible. A huge THANK YOU to all of our generous donors who contributed prizes and helped encourage our students along the way. Your support means so much to our school family! To our students — thank you for your positive attitudes, perseverance, and commitment to doing your best. We are proud of each and every one of you! 👏

Strike & Spare will have the concession stand open for students to purchase food items and drink items. Students will have to pay for this on their own. If you would like your child to get something while they are there, please send them with money. They will be served lunch from the cafeteria when we get back to school!

Last Friday, we had the pleasure of welcoming the Miles Mustangs to Tichenor! 🐎 Our future 6th graders spent the day getting a firsthand look at their new school—exploring the building, meeting staff, and getting a feel for what life at TMS is all about. From curious questions to excited smiles, it’s safe to say these Mustangs are ready to make the leap! We can’t wait to officially welcome you back next year as Trojans. The future is bright! 💙💛

Today we celebrate two incredible leaders on Principal’s Day! 💙 Dr. Jennifer Michael at Bartlett Educational Center and Mrs. Aubrey Ryan at Tichenor Middle School are both shining examples of what it means to lead with heart, vision, and purpose. In their first year in these roles, they have already made a powerful impact—building relationships, supporting students and staff, and creating positive, welcoming school communities. Their dedication, energy, and commitment to doing what’s best for kids does not go unnoticed. They have stepped into these leadership roles with confidence and care, and our schools are stronger because of them.
